My child custody order is in another state, but I live in Michigan now. Can I take my spouse to court in Michigan to get custody or support changed?
The short answer is no, you must go to court in the state where the child custody order was issued. Unless, both you and your spouse have moved to another state.
It is important to note, you cannot move the children out of the state without a hearing and a court order.
